Today was our last day of classes for the week... WOOOO! We started with our German Life & Culture class (Herr Becker) then had Deutsch (Frau Brixner) last.  Oh, what a class that is!  Because our class is so small, we get to recite the alphabet aloud... one by one :) What a crack- up it is!  No one in our group has ever had a German class before so that hour and a half is always an adventure :)  This was the word of the day/ the longest word Frau Brixner knew to teach us: Donaudampfschifffahrgasellschaft... now, I don't know about any of you, but I had to take a few extra breaths throughout the pronunciation... WHEW... and I promise I spelled that correctly! (It means steamboat shipping route company... will we really ever use that while were here?! ... I sure hope not!) Nevertheless, we've all decided this is going to be a tough class... Wish us luck!

This afternoon we went on a run with the one-and-only, kick- butt, cross country runner in our group, Lindsey! She whipped us into shape real quick. We ran through the woods that have different routes cut through the grass... the views are absolutely breathtaking (literally...) :)! One of the neatest facilities on campus, I think, is the hugeeee soccer stadium that Reutlingen University gets to play on.  It looks like a miniature Toyota Park (Chicago Fire field).  We get to pass there and continue pass a small water park which then leads to the hilly woodlands... what a great way to kick off our weekend!

Tonight our group is meeting for dinner at a small stand called "The Chicken Man." Pre-cooked chicken that will definitely fill our bellies--we can hardly wait.  And thennnnn, off to the Irish Pub where every Thursday is KARAOKE night :) We've all been warming up our vocal chords since we arrived! I'm thinking a little Aretha Franklin/ Mariah Carey/ Whitney Houston... anyone?! :)

We leave early in the AM for Munich where we will be until Sunday night- so look for a good post with some amazing pictures then! Toot-a-loo :)
