Hello fellow bloggers:)
Today was our second day of classes, and Frou Bixner did not waste any time getting back into learning German. The way she teaches acquires everyones full attention as she is always calling people out..something I know I definitely struggled with! We learned the alphabet and tried to sound native but I think we all found out that German is a hard language to speak! After that class we had a two hour lunch break, Andrea and I watched One Tree hill and Anna and Lauren went on a run. Then we met up again to go to our Theology class on Luther and Bach. We all signed up for debates- Andrea already is stressed about having to speak in front of the class- but we all have 5 weeks to prepare! After class we all hung around until 5:30 when we went to Jeremy and Linda's room- they graduated from Valpo last year. There we all gathered around their tv and ate yummy treats like brownies, bruschetta, and guacamole and chips as we waited for the inauguration to begin. It was a lot of peoples first time watching, and I could feel the American Pride in the room. It was a very cool moment to experience even though we weren't in the United States. Later that night we went out to the bier and wein academy and we say Obama on all of the tv's in the place! Its very nice to know how excited even Europeans are about our new President:)
